2019 Goals/Resolutions

2019 is already here, it’s crazy that 2018 is over, for me it flew by! I don’t normally set rigid resolutions for myself, because I no doubt will break them, but this year there are a few things I was to do/focus on.

Reading all the books on my TBR, which isn’t as long as I used to be, I’ve set my reading goal for this year at 40 books, so along with new books that I will be reading this year I think I can clear my TBR, or at least read the majority of books on it! My TBR piles are below, not too bad really.

Last year my blogging was quite sporadic, this year I want to be more consistent, I want to review all the books that I read, at least one blog post a week.

I’ve had a love of writing from a really young age, I used to write fanfics etc, and last year I tried to write something more like a novel, I will probably never post it or do anything with it, but this year I would love to finish my own story/novel!

My health took a real knock this year and although there was nothing I could do about it I still was upset that my fitness levels dropped majorly. I’ve set myself a goal this year to get into better shape, I’ve already signed up for a Bootcamp and a kickboxing course, so hopefully I’ll be able to stick at it!

I became a bit of a social hermit last year, I barely went out and it got to the stage where I just didn’t want to go out and spend time with people. This year I want to have more social outings, even if it just to the cinema or for a coffee!

I’m going back to LA this year, which I’m so excited about, I’m not sure what other things I’ll get planned, but I just want to have fun this year and maybe go to somewhere else that I haven’t been before.

  1. Good luck with your 2019 goals!
I have only read a few books on your TBR pile as I don’t tend to read that much contemporary, but it looks like you have some good reads ahead. Well done for signing up for some fitness classes as the accountability and company will hopefully keep you on track. I am hoping to get a bit fitter this year too!

  2. Good luck with all your goals, I look forward to reading your blog posts, your book reviews always make me want to go and buy the book that you’ve enjoyed straight away! I’m so jealous that you’re going to LA again, I really want to go to the Disneyland there!! I need to get back into shape this year too.

      1. I will try! I’d love to visit every Disney park but obviously I can’t afford to, maybe if I win the lottery I’ll spend a year touring the world going to every Disney park there is!x

  3. Good luck with your new years resolutions, you’ve got some good ones! I can’t believe you are going to try and read 40 books, there is no way I could do that! Also if you love writing, I highly recommend you do some writing, in some capacity. When I graduated from Uni, I stopped writing as much so I struggled to get back into it.
