#TopTenTuesday – Book Quotes

This post is part of Top 10 Tuesdays, run by That Artsy Reader Girl

This the theme is favourite book quotes, I have so many that it was so hard to narrow down! But here are ten:

‘You don’t get to choose if you get hurt in this world… but you do have a say in who hurts you’ The Fault In Our Stars, by John Green

‘People are flawed and nothing is fair’ Bad Mommy, by Tarryn Fisher

‘I need a chapter break’ Hopeless, by Colleen Hoover

‘The best thing about reading is to escape from your life, to be able to live hundreds or even thousands of different lives’ After We Collided, by Anna Todd

‘I have come to learn that the people who
pretend to care the least actually care the
most’ After We Fell, by Anna Todd

‘Brave doesn’t mean you’re not scared. It means you go on even though you’re scared’ The Hate You Give, by Angie Thomas

‘Becoming Fearless isn’t the point. That’s impossible. It’s learning how to control your fear, and to be free from it’ Divergent, by Veronica Roth

‘And maybe one day, when we all realize that we all feel the same, we can all stop pretending to be something we’re not’ Girl Online, by Zoe Sugg

‘Beauty is only skin-deep, and ugly goes straight to the bone’ Beautiful Bastard, by Christina Lauren

Are any of these in your favourites? What are your favourite book quotes? Maybe ones that inspire you?

  1. I love the quote ‘when we are in love, we are both completely in danger and completely saved’ from ‘Love Letters to the Dead’ by Ava Dellaira and ‘she never looked nice. She looked like art, and art wasn’t supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something.’ from ‘Eleanor and Park’ by Rainbow Rowell! I love the John Green one you picked but another favourite by him is ‘that’s always seemed so ridiculous to me, that people want to be around someone because they’re pretty. It’s like picking your breakfeast cereals based on color instead of taste.’ from Paper Towns!

    Great post!
