The One We Fell In Love With By Paige Toon

THE ONE WE FELL IN LOVE WITH

‘You’ll love it, cry buckets and be uplifted’ MARIAN KEYES

‘I blubbed, I laughed and I fell in love… utterly heart-wrenching!’ GIOVANNA FLETCHER

Phoebe is caught between a rock and a hard place. Settle down and get married, or return to the Alps to pursue her passion?

Eliza is in love with someone that is no longer hers. In fact, he probably never was… And her dream of becoming a successful musician seems to be vanishing before her eyes.

Rose is out of a job and out of a boyfriend. To make matters worse, she’s been forced to move back in with her mother…

But these very different girls have one thing in common. Angus. The one they fell in love with…

This book!!

I hadn’t read any books by Paige Toon before this one, it was in the Zoella book club this time around, it looks pretty and I was excited to read it.

My first thoughts from just knowing the title were that it was going to be a little cliché love story, with a love triangle involved, but I was wrong! I liked it straight away, it captured me right from the start! I thought it was a fun and interesting story, the writing was good and I liked how it switched between characters.thQ11OPQD6

It is about identical triplets Pheobe, Rose and Eliza who all happen to fall in love with the same boy when they’re 17, one obviously gets him and lays her claim, the story jumps them to them being 28 years old and one sister is set to marry the boy they fell in love with. This sounds really cliché and predictable right? But it is definitely not!

I thought I had sussed the book and knew exactly what was going to happen and I was happy with what I thought would be the way the book went, but I was wrong, I loved the twist in the book, it shocked me and I didn’t pick up on it at all! It was such a well thought out story! The writing was really good in portraying the characters feelings and developing characters and relationships. I loved watching Rose and Eliza’s relationship especially.

I found myself just completely falling in love with this book and all of the characters, it’s rare to find a book and love every single character in it, but Paige has done it for me with this one!

I can’t wait to read more books from Paige Toon, I will no doubt love them as much as this one!

Have you read this or any books by Paige Toon? What did you think? Any books of hers that I should read next?
